Rod and his wife Jonel the proud parents of two daughters, Ann & Karen. They are both graduates of the Bloomington Schools and have been active in school and community activities.

Rod is the Managing Partner of Strategic Talent Partners which is part of the OCI Companies, an HR Consulting group. He has overall responsibility for the search, assessment, and talent management functions within the company. Rod brings to this position more than 28 years of experience in financial consulting and business advisory. In addition, he is involved in several volunteer organizations and activities. This combination of business and community service experience has helped Rod create a significant network of contacts and a customer service focus that evolves around building solid relationships.

Rod’s background includes serving as a financial advisor to both individuals and businesses. He has been actively involved in mergers and acquisitions as well as providing financial and investment advice to corporate executives. With his wealth of financial knowledge and practical working experience, he is also skilled to work on projects related to strategy development, business valuation, competitive market analysis, and other human resources development initiatives.
Most recently Rod was Partner with Virchow, Krause & Company, LLP which is the 13th largest CPA firm in the country. His 28 years of experience focused on private companies and high net worth individuals. Rod has extensive experience in compliance work, tax planning, tax savings strategies, personal financial advisory, and succession planning. As Partner in the general business team, Rod was responsible for managing a diverse group of client relationships. These included professional service corporations, manufacturing, and retail. Prior to Virchow, Kraus & Company, Rod was Partner with House, Nezerka & Froelich and Moser, Christianson & Axtell. He was also Staff Accountant with Touche Ross & Co., and Title Insurance Company of Minnesota.


Rod received a BS degree from Bemidji State University in 1975.
