Senate District 40 Senator Bill Belanger (left), House District 40A Representative Duke Powell (center), and special guest Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman each spoke at a fundraiser for Belanger and Powell, and answered questions from the audience. The event was held at Benchwarmer Bob's in Burnsville.
| Chairman Mehlman spoke about why 2006 will be a pivotal election. He said the issues at stake include whether the United States continues the war against terrorists or reverts to a pre-9/11 mentality, the security of our borders, and the future of Social Security as the baby boom generation retires. |
